Erection of External Lighting Columns at Royle Barn Road, Rochdale pdf icon PDF 305 KB

    Minutes:

    The Director of Economy presented a report that detailed planning application number 16/00078/FUL which was for the erection of three external lighting columns to a yard (part retrospective application) at the site of Woolworths PLC, Royle Barn Road, Rochdale.

     

    The Sub-Committee considered the views of Mr. T. Brogan who addressed the meeting on behalf of the objectors to the application.

     

    Representatives of the applicants were not in attendance at the meeting.

     

    A Member requested that the application be deferred to a future meeting of the Sub-Committee, to allow time for the Planning Officer to negotiate with the applicants the issues raised by the objectors at the meeting, namely clarification on the proposed use of lighting at the application and mitigating factors that can be taken to lessen the noise levels for residents living close to this location.

     

    DECIDED – That consideration of this planning application be deferred to a future meeting of the Sub-Committee.

Change of Use at Molesworth Hotel, Molesworth Street, Rochdale

    Minutes:

    The Director of Economy presented a report that detailed planning application number 16/00432/FUL which was for a change of use of part of the ground floor to create a day centre (D1) and part of the basement to create an office associated with a day centre; HMO use will remain in force for part of the ground floor, all of the first floor and all the second floor at Molesworth Hotel, 80 Molesworth Street, Rochdale.

     

    Representatives of the objectors and of the applicants were not in attendance at the meeting.

     

    DECIDED – That the Planning and Licensing Committee be advised that this Sub-Committee is minded to grant planning permission for this application.
