Minutes of the last meeting and matters arising

    Minutes:

    There are still issues with drug taking in many areas, including Andover Avenue and Brookside Crescent, also around The Downs including the shops back and front, and The Coppice.

    Anti-social behaviour is still ongoing.  There were further reports from residents which were reported to the Police on their behalf.  PC Ian Frazer took further details.

Crime updates

    Minutes:

    Attendees to the meeting were provided with a written update sheet from GMP which detailed individual issues (brief of the update provided below and a full copy of the update is available from lauren.mason@rochdale.gov.uk or 01706 923124).

     

    ·           Domestic burglary x 11 - Pembridge Fold, Kingsway x 2, Brookside Crescent x 2, The Meadows, Alkrington Court, Oldham Road, Brookside Crescent, Kirkway, Elm Street, Oldham Road and Manchester New Road.

    ·           Vehicle crime (including criminal damage to vehicles) x 22 - Highfield Drive, Monmouth Street, York Road West, Kirkway x 2, Leighton Avenue, Larch View Road, Evesham Road, Arden Avenue, Oak Avenue, Mount Road, Oldham Road and Smethurst Street, Mainway East x 2, Mount Road, Cypress Street, Pine Street, Grimshaw Lane, Haslam Street, The Heath and The Meadows.

    ·           Residents were advised that the majority of burglaries and vehicle break-ins were due to insecurities and reminded residents that even during hot weather windows and doors should be kept locked.  If people do see something suspicious this should be reported to GMP, and if there is an immediate risk to person or property then this should be reported via 999.

    There are continuing issues with youths terrorising the estate.
