Withdrawal of item of business

    Minutes:

    The Chair advised that planning application 15/00830/OUT Outline application (including access) for erection of up to 110 dwellings with associated services, drainage, landscaping, access arrangements and car parking and including demolition of existing building on site on land Off New Road, Littleborough, would be withdrawn from the agenda and considered at a future meeting on the grounds of allowing further consultation.

    The Committee considered the views of the agent for the applicant who addressed the Committee in relation to the application.

     

    RESOLVED – That (1) the Committee would be minded to approve the application on determination of appropriate conditions;

    (2) determination of the application and appropriate conditions be delegated to the Chief Planning Officer in consultation with the Chair of Planning & Licensing Committee.

    Minutes:

    The Director of Economy introduced planning application 16/00396/FUL for the conversion of office into four apartments at Hare Hill Road, Littleborough, Rochdale.

     

    The Director of Economy updated in the Committee in relation to the recommendation within the submitted report.  The Committee were informed that the recommendation was amended to grant planning permission subject to the completion of a Section 106 planning obligation in order to secure the provision of a contribution of £35,000 towards local open space improvements at Hare Hill Park and the provision of a contribution of £35,000 towards formal outdoor sports at Littleborough Sports Centre.

     

    The Committee considered the views Mr K. Waddington, the agent for the applicant, who addressed the Committee in relation to the application.

     

    RESOLVED – That (1) planning permission be approved subject to conditions as detailed within the submitted report and the completion of a Section 106 planning obligation in order to secure the provision of a contribution of £35,000 towards local open space improvements at Hare Hill Park and the provision of a contribution of £35,000 towards formal outdoor sports at Littleborough Sports Centre;

    2) the Council enters into an agreement under the provisions of Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and other appropriate legislation with regard to the matters set out above;

    3) the Chief Planning Officer be authorised to issue the decision notice on completion of the Section 106 Agreement.
