Blue Plaque Proposal for the Maskew's pdf icon PDF 93 KB

    To consider the installation of a blue plaque at Touchstones Museum, Rochdale.

    Minutes:

    The Township Committee considered the report of the Director of Neighbourhoods which proposed the installation of a blue plaque to commemorate Annie and Frank Maskew on the doorway of Touchstones, Rochdale.

     

    The plaque would be installed ready to be unveiled on 14th October as part of the launch event of Rochdale Literature & Ideas Festival 2019. It would be funded by the Maskew Bequest.

     

    Alternatives considered:

     

    There were no alternatives for consideration.

     

    Resolved:

     

    1.    That the installation of a blue plaque to honour Annie and Frank Maskew on the doorway of Touchstones, Rochdale be approved.

     

     

    Reasons for the decision:

     

    Interim permission had already been granted from Link4Life and the Council’s Conservation Officer. Approval from the Rochdale South Township Committee was now required.
