North West Local Authorities Employers Organisation
The North Western Local Authorities' Employers'
Organisation, which is usually known as
North West Employers, is the Employers' Organisation for local authorities in the North
West of England. It provides advice, support and consultancy
services to constituent local authorities in the following
- To provide information, advice and direct
assistance to constituents on the human resource and general
management issues they face.
- To promote best practice in Employee
Relations and Training and Development
- To capitalise on
our regional position by co-ordinating
and administering networks which reflect human resource and
management issues of concern to local government in the North West
and by identifying opportunities for joint working with agencies
representing North West Local Government
- To carry out tasks on behalf of the national
Employers Organisation and the
Improvement and Development Agency.
- To represent the interests of local
authorities as employers on the North Western Joint Regional
Council for Local Government Services.
Meetings are usually held four or five times per
