Apologies for absence were submitted on behalf of Councillors Peter Allonby, Susan Emmott and Sara Rowbotham.

Minutes:

In relation to agenda Item No. 8 Middleton Township Funds 2022/23, late application ‘Bowlee Heritage Group’ Councillor Susan Smith declared that she was a Trustee of Bowlee Community Association.

 

She left the room during the discussion and vote on the application.

The Chair reported that an additional application for funding had been received from Bowlee Heritage Group.  Copies of the application were circulated at the meeting.

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Director of Neighbourhoods which provided an update on revenue and capital expenditure, commitments and balances of Middleton Township Funds 2022/23 and to enable the Sub-Committee to consider the allocation of funds to proposed projects.

 

Alternatives considered:

 

In considering the report, Members could decide whether or not to approve

the allocation of funds to projects.

 

Resolved:

 

  1. That the expenditure, commitments and balances for Middleton

Township revenue and capital funds as detailed in Appendix 1 and 2 of

the report be noted;

 

  1. That decisions made under delegated authority as detailed in Appendix

3 of the report be noted;

 

  1. That it be noted that the Townships & Communities Manager had

assessed proposed projects to be considered for funding against the

criteria of eligibility for the Middleton Township Fund, the priorities of

the Township and that any specific risks had been identified in the

report;

 

  1. That the applications for Township Funds be dealt with as follows:-

Reasons for the Recommendations:

 

Management of the Middleton Township Fund was delegated to the

Middleton Township Devolved Funding & Devolved Services Sub

Committee.

 

Middleton Township Funds were allocated to projects that benefitted the Township’s community and environment, realised the Township priorities.

 

The decision ensured the Sub Committee monitored and reviewed the use of the Middleton Township Funds to ensure continued efficient and effective use of the funds.
