The Sub-Committee considered a report which provided an update on revenue and capital expenditure, commitments and balances of Heywood Township Funds 2024/25 to assist the allocation of funds to proposed projects.

 

Alternatives considered

Not to allocate funds to the proposed projects - this option was not recommended as Heywood Township funds were available to allocate to projects that benefitted Heywood community and environment.

 

RESOLVED –

 

  1. That the expenditure, commitments and balances of the Heywood Township Revenue and Capital Funds, as detailed in Appendices 1, 1A and 2 of the report, be noted.

 

  1. That the decisions made under delegated authority, as detailed in Appendix 3 of the report be noted.

 

  1. That it be noted the Head of Townships and Libraries had assessed the proposed projects to be considered for funding against the criteria of eligibility for the Heywood Township Fund, the priorities of the Township and any specific risks had been identified within Appendix 4 of the report.

 

  1. That the Head of Townships and Libraries, in consultation with the Chair and Vice Chair of Heywood Township Committee, be given delegated authority to make decisions on any deferred projects.

 

  1. That applications for Heywood Township Funds 2024/2025 as outlined at Appendix 4 of the report be dealt with as follows:

Gordon Way Grit Bin

Deferred – to the next Heywood Township Delegated Sub-Committee meeting to allow a review of grit bins to be undertaken.

 

 

Reasons for the decisions:

Management of the Heywood Township Fund was delegated to the Heywood Township Delegated Sub-Committee. Heywood Township Funds were allocated to projects that benefitted the Township’s community and environment and realised the Township priorities. To enable the Sub-Committee to monitor and review the use of the Heywood Township Funds to ensure continued efficient and effective use of the funds.
