The chair welcomed all to the meeting.  Reference was made to the code of conduct and all were asked to abide by the code for the duration of the meeting.

The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.  Updates from the previous meeting’s actions were provided as follows.

Hartley Lane
A previous query was raised as to when future resurfacing works will take place, also whether the crater/hole has now been fixed in the road.  Townships raised the matters with the Council’s Highways Department who advised the resurfacing works will commence within the school summer holiday period (July/August) after City Fibre complete their installation works in the area.  The crater/hole repair works have now been completed.

Great Gates Road
Issue had been raised about the gulley/grids on Great Gates Road as two metal coverings were missing from the pavement sides of the road.  Townships raised the matter with the Council’s Highways Department who advised the repair works have now been completed.

Flower bulbs - Balderstone Park
A resident had previously commented that it would be nice to get some flower bulbs planted in Balderstone Park along the road side near the railings.  Townships raised the matter with the Council’s Environmental Management Department who asked for an opinion on type/colour and it can be costed.

PCSO Johnston attended the meeting on behalf of GMP and provided the update.  The Chief Constable of GMP is now pushing forward an initiative focussing on neighbourhood policing, with the introduction of new officers and a proactive team in each area including one PCSO along with one Neighbourhood Beat Officer.  GMP hold two surgeries per month in differing areas of the ward.

Gladstone Crescent anti-social behaviour
A resident attended and raised a matter with both GMP and RBH officers in attendance regarding an anti-social behaviour issue concerning a neighbour on Gladstone Crescent.

Aldwych parking problems
A resident raised concerns about parking on Aldwych stating that the additional cars/residents from the new development properties have added to the level of congestion in the area.  The area of concern does not have parking restrictions, so unfortunately Council Parking Enforcement Officers on patrol cannot assist this matter.
