The Greater Manchester Health Scrutiny Panel consists of representative members from the 10 AGMA authorities, with all political parties represented.

The panel scrutinises the strategies, policies, actions and consultations of:

·  NHS Northwest (formerly the Greater Manchester Strategic Health Authority)

·  Greater Manchester Ambulance Service

·  Christies Hospital

·  Greater Manchester Health Networks

The panel will also consider health matters, on a Greater Manchester wide basis, following a formal request from a district scrutiny committee (where they feel that the matter is a Greater Manchester issue rather than a local issue).
