Rochdale Development Agency is a unique organisation in the region. It was established in 1993 when Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council took the bold step to set up a not-for-profit company to lead on the regeneration of the borough. While this connects them with the commercial sector, they remain in touch with the Council through their representation on the board and by working together to deliver the broad vision for the borough.
